"Animated TV Series and TV Special: scriptwriting and concept development" is a training offer provided by la Poudrière, aimed at developing audiovisual projects for young audiences. The projects are all adapted from children’s books.

This 11-week module covers two parts:

- the first focuses on concept development and screenwriting for a TV special,

- the second focuses on concept development and screenwriting for a TV/Web series concept.

During the 11-week period, course participants also attend the Annecy International Animation Film Festival (France) and market (MIFA).

Participants work in groups of three or four writers and directors, and together they pitch their projects at the end of the module to a panel of 50 European experts. The guest teachers are all working professionals from across the animation industry, covering screenwriters, directors, producers, broadcasters and publishing houses.

Upon completion of the training, participants wishing to pursue their work in developing TV series have the opportunity to attend Forum Cartoon, the leading event for funding for European TV series projects.

La Poudrière offers courses in animated film directing to both students and film industry professionals who are interested in specializing in film-making.
